NHS Supply Chain's new contract for gravies and sauces offers a revamped range, giving catering departments access to a wider range of market leading brands.

The range includes ready to use sauces, stocks/bouillons, gravy products and sauce mixes from the following suppliers:

• Mars Foodservice
• Premier Foods
• Unilever Food Solutions
• Nestle.

The table below shows the product brands available through the contract.

Delists

Dolmio and Uncle Bens ranges of sauces have been introduced and will replace some Knorr lines and the Simtom range of ready to use sauces.

The new Gravies Stocks and Sauces framework has been tendered nationally under EU Public Procurement regulations.

• as a result of strong competition some lines are to be delisted however we have ensured a number of direct and indirect alternatives are available to order at a significantly reduced cost
• Dolmio and Uncle Bens range of sauces has been introduced and will replace the Knorr and Simtom ranges.

Range developments

Over the term of the contract, suppliers will be able to add new products within the scope of their award.

• new products into the market will be launched throughout the life of the contract.
