Important customer notice Rationed Lines
Ref:19/03/2012
ICN number:
From time to time NHS Supply Chain may need to limit the number of a product a customer can order. This is called ‘Rationing’.
The decision to ‘Ration’ a product line is taken only when we have been advised by a supplier of an impending problem in the availability of a product.
The ‘Ration’ is placed on a NHS Supply Chain product code to ensure we are able to distribute the limited stock we have fairly amongst our customers and to give all customers the opportunity to be able to order.
A ‘Ration’ is only placed on a product where the supply issue is of a temporary nature and stocks are likely to be continued to be received albeit in smaller quantities.
NHS Supply Chain produces a report of all ‘Rationed‘ products on a weekly basis and you can view the current rationed products here.
