NHS Supply Chain aims to provide best-value, high-quality products to the NHS, and our Task Force members play a critical role in helping us achieve this.

Task Forces consist of groups of clinicians and other parties involved in the procurement and use of products or equipment used in the NHS.

When a contract is due for renewal, we consult with these groups to ensure that the products we are providing are fit for purpose from multiple perspectives, including:

  • Actual clinical use
  • Cleaning
  • Packaging/storage
  • Procurement
  • Health and safety.

This provides an opportunity to be involved in the selection of the right type of goods for trusts based on knowledge and expertise in the product area.

Our organisation appreciates the support of clinicians and practitioners in ensuring appropriate product specifications are defined, evaluation criteria established and our products are accepted by the wider clinical community.
