Trusts are responsible for EoTP assurance activity for any suppliers they identify as high risk which are not listed within Annexes A and B of Keith Willets ‘National assurance of medical devices and clinical consumables (MDCC) and non-clinical goods and services (NCGS) suppliers’ email.

National Supply Disruption Response (NSDR)

For NHS Providers, if you need more volume than you have been provided, please ensure you have:

  • Used all your local stock
  • Contacted your NHS Supply Chain Customer Services Advisor
  • Sought mutual aid from other trusts in your STP.

For Community Healthcare Partners, please ensure you have:

  • Followed your usual BAU procedures (which may include wholesale provision)
  • Contacted your local trusts or health organisations for mutual aid
  • Contacted your Local Resilience Forums
  • For PPE submitted your emergency order through the PPE Portal.

End of EU Transition and PPE Strategy

On 28 September 2020, DHSC published its Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) Strategy.

To support the communication, DHSC presented an update to customers on PPE strategy and the End of Transition Period on 29 September 2020 via a webinar hosted by NHS Supply Chain. Updates were provided by Peter Howitt, Director of PPE Policy, and Sandra Barrow, Supplier Engagement Lead. The webinar has been recorded and has been cascaded to all customers who registered.
