HFMA Summer Conference
The theme of the conference was ‘Reflect and reset’ and the event highlighted areas of good practice from across the UK as we prepare to emerge from the pandemic.
It also examined our continued transition to system wide working which presents enormous opportunities and challenges for health and social care leaders as we work towards a unified system that is patient, not organisation focused.
NHS Supply Chain session
NHS Supply Chain hosted a session on Thursday 24 June 2021 at 1.45pm which explored ‘Building greater supply chain resilience and sustainable long-term value for the NHS’.
The pandemic has highlighted many opportunities for greater collaboration and increased supply chain resilience across the NHS.
Kate Jones, Programme Lead, South London Cardiac ODN, and Lee Taylor, Clinical Programme Lead Cardiology and Radiology, NHS Supply Chain, shared learning on how collaborative working across clinical, finance and procurement has driven benefits for the system.
Hamish Makanji, Head of Customer Relationship Management, and Sara Ford, Director of Strategy, Communications and Marketing, NHS Supply Chain also provided an update on the areas of focus for NHS Supply Chain in 2021 / 2022, including investing further in supply chain resilience, helping deliver the NHS’s ambitious net zero carbon target and striving to increase the value we bring to NHS trusts through innovation and collaboration.
eDirect: Customer focused improvements
NHS Supply Chain hosted a live session in our exhibition booth on Friday 25 June 2021 at 12pm.
