Midlands and East Customer Board
David Melbourne, Programme Director, Birmingham and Solihull ICS is the Chair of the Midlands and East Customer Board.
The Midlands Customer Board meets quarterly with the next meeting taking place virtually on 1 March 2022.
At each meeting members discuss NHS Supply Chain performance, improvement plans, landscape changes, share best practice and decide the key issues that should be discussed by the National Board.
The last meeting was held on 1 December 2021, topics of discussion included;
- Resilience Working Group members provided an update on progress.
- NHSE/I provided an update advising that a clinical and sustainability group is being established linked to the Midlands Greener Board.
- Discussion on capital funding and the support required from NHS Supply Chain.
- Recognition was given that despite the challenging landscape there has been some really positive work undertaken by our teams right across the Midlands and East Region.
