NHS Confed Conference
The NHS Confederation will hold a virtual NHS Confed Conference for its members, partners and the wider health and social care system on 15-17 June 2021.
Off the back of the NHS Confederation’s most recent national event in November 2020 for its NHS Reset campaign, it will be looking to build on the success of this and offer a much bigger opportunity for all parts of its membership to reflect on developments during the pandemic and to explore the challenges and opportunities that lie ahead.
The event will be completely online and will feature a programme of sessions spanning the three days, featuring contributions from NHS England and NHS Improvement and a range of other national and international voices.
NHS Supply Chain session 17 June 2021, 11am
NHS Supply Chain’s session will explore ‘Understanding the true value of e-commerce solutions for system working.’
The speakers will include;
- Heather Bremble – Procurement Systems Manager, Southern Health NHS Foundation Trust
- David Melbourne, Programme Director – NHS Birmingham & Solihull Integrated Care System
- Colin McCready – Acting CEO, NHS Supply Chain
- Mark Vallentine – Technology Engagement Partner, NHS Supply Chain
As the NHS moves further towards implementing ICS structures, finding ways to embed collaborative system wide working is becoming increasingly important. Recognising the opportunities this presented, Southern Health NHS Foundation Trust implemented a new materials management system across their non-acute settings which centralised materials management and ordering via NHS Supply Chain’s e-commerce solution EDC.
This session will explore how staff and patients have benefited, as well as exploring the role of e-commerce from an ICS perspective. NHS Supply Chain will also share its plans to support and develop their service to meet the evolving needs of the NHS.
NHS Supply Chain will also have a virtual exhibition stand throughout the event, if you have any questions on the day or would simply like to chat to a representative we are there for you.
