NHS Providers Annual Conference

This year’s theme is together, focusing on the work trusts are doing to deliver integration. The conference explored how we embrace new opportunities across the health and social care system as a whole and create a sustainable NHS fit for the 21st century. The conference also looked at how we can respond collaboratively to address health inequalities in the sector.

The conference took place virtually with plenary sessions on 16 – 17 November. Breakout sessions, and delivering with partners sessions were delivered as individual webinars between mid November 2021 and January 2022.

NHS Supply Chain session

Andrew New, CEO, Heather Tierney-Moore, Interim Chair and Chris Holmes, Director of Supply were joined by Jason Mitchell, Waste Manager, Newcastle upon Tyne Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust in a delivering with partners session on Tuesday 11 January 2022 at 1pm.

The session discussed “Delivering Health Sustainably: How NHS Supply Chain can support the NHS to deliver social value and achieve a greener, net zero future.”.

Delivering a greener future for the NHS is a challenge, however NHS Supply Chain is committed to leveraging the strength of its people and operations to deliver health sustainably through procurement solutions; to drive better health outcomes and create economic, social and environmental value for our stakeholders.
