Orthopaedic Supplier Conference
NHS Supply Chain: Orthopaedics, Trauma and Spine, and Ophthalmology hosted a virtual conference to update suppliers.
Updates were given on the following areas:
- How we are using technology to improve data and processes.
- Our project delivery approach for orthopaedics.
- Chris Holmes, Director of Supply Chain spoke about the future landscape of NHS Supply Chain.
- HCTED programme status.
More than 100 delegates attended the Total Orthopaedic Solutions (TOS2) supplier conference and positive feedback was received from orthopaedic suppliers.
The virtual aspect of the event enabled us to invite more of members of our team to help understand procurement systems in more depth.

We thought the conference – our first virtual one for suppliers – was a success. It was good to see our orthopaedic suppliers engage with us online and hear about our planned approach over the coming months and how we are working to improve our interactions and relationships with them.
