NHS Confederation supported by NHS Supply Chain held a panel discussion on key issues related to patient safety in the NHS.
Patient safety matters. Recognised as a high-risk industry, healthcare involves complex systems, vulnerable individuals, and constantly evolving clinical treatments and healthcare products.
Heather Tierney-Moore, Interim Chair led the panel discussion, joined by Tracey Cammish, Clinical Intelligence Lead, Helen Hughes, Chief Executive of Patient Safety Learning and Dave Fassam, National Investigator, HSIB to explore examples of learning related to patient safety, and to hear from colleagues on assurance priorities for safe healthcare products and services.
