Important Customer Notice Resolved

  • Cardinal Health has informed us that the temporary supply issue has now been resolved.
  • All of the affected product codes are now available to order through our online catalogue.

Change:

  • Cardinal Health has informed us that five of the previously affected IPC sleeves are now available to order: EGD279, EGD284, EGD7869, EGD7871 and EGD7877.
  • Three IPC sleeves remain affected by this supply issue: EGD274, EGD275 and EGD285, and a further three IPC sleeves are now affected by this supply issue: EGD7873, EGD7874 and EDG7876.

Impact:

  • There is a total of six product codes affected by this supply issue and have intermittent supply.
  • Five of the affected products have potential indirect alternative products available to order.
  • Unfortunately, there is no suitable alternative product available for EGD274.
  • The supply issue is anticipated to be resolved by 30 September 2019.

  • There remain eight product codes affected.
  • The supply issue follows the acquisition of Patient Recovery portfolio by Cardinal Health from Medtronic. The delay is due to Cardinal Health global demand increases and production delays.

Impact:

  • The eight affected product codes are currently unavailable to order.
  • For six of the affected product codes, there are potential indirect alternative products available to order through our online catalogue.
  • IPC Sleeves are only compatible with the Cardinal Health pumps; therefore, alternatives cannot be offered for three of the affected IPC Sleeves.

  • The supply issue is anticipated to be resolved by August 2019, with some codes becoming available from June 2019.

Unfortunately, the supply issue has not been resolved and the 31 product codes are still unavailable to order.
  • The supply issue follows the acquisition of Patient Recovery portfolio by Cardinal Health from Medtronic. The delay is due to Cardinal Health warehousing picking and packing and Cardinal Health not able to currently facilitate and deliver our orders.
  • The supply issue is now anticipated to be resolved by 18 March 2019.

Change:

  • Cardinal Health has informed us that the supply issue is ongoing and a further 10 suction catheters and tube products are affected.
  • There are now a total of 31 product codes affected across suction catheters and tubes, AE stockings and IPC sleeves.
  • The supply issue follows the acquisition of Patient Recovery portfolio by Cardinal Health from Medtronic. The delay is due to Cardinal Health warehousing picking and packing and Cardinal Health not able to currently facilitate and deliver our orders.

Impact:

  • The 31 affected product codes are currently unavailable to order.
  • For 16 of the affected product codes, there are potential indirect alternative products available to order through our online catalogue.
  • IPC Sleeves are only compatible with the Cardinal Health pumps; therefore, alternatives cannot be offered for the 12 affected IPC Sleeves.
  • There are three suction catheter products with no suitable alternatives available to order.
  • Any increased costs incurred relating to the 31 product codes affected during this period of supply issue will be reimbursed by the supplier.

  • The supplier is waiting for an updated logistic resolution to bring the affected products in to the UK.
  • The supply issue is anticipated to be resolved and the affected products available to order by 30 November 2018.

  • Unfortunately for three affected product codes the supplier is unable to offer any alternatives:

Previous Update:

  • The supplier Medtronic/Cardinal has informed us that product codes EGD284 and EGD285 will not be available from 15 September 2018.
  • Product codes EGD284 and EGD285 anticipated date for supply to resume is now 5 October 2018.

Change:

  • The supplier Medtronic/Cardinal has informed us of a temporary supply issue with its AE Stockings and IPC sleeves, Vascular Therapy Products.
  • There are nine product codes affected.
  • The supply issue is due to delayed offshore product shipments, the supplier is waiting for an updated logistic resolution to bring the products into the UK.
  • Cardinal Health acquired the Patient Recovery portfolio from Medtronic in August 2017. As part of the divesture, a service agreement was put in place for Medtronic to continue to manage all back office functions until 26 October 2018. This service agreement includes customer services and logistical operations.

Impact:

  • The nine product codes affected are currently unavailable to order.
  • For six affected product codes there are potential indirect alternative products are available to order through our online catalogue.

Unfortunately for three affected product codes the supplier is unable to offer any alternatives:
