Armstrong Medical 15mm Diameter Collapsible/Extendible Tubing (ICN 1129)

Alert:

• Armstrong Medical have issued a Field Safety Notice in relation to 15mm Diameter Collapsible/Extendible Tubing present in Catheter Mounts, Face Mask Kits and some Breathing Circuits.
• Storage or use of these devices at very low ambient temperatures may increase the risk of splits or fractures forming in the tubing.
• Armstrong Medical recommend that the devices are stored and used at temperature range 15˚C to 40°C.

Products Affected:

• There are 35 NHS Supply Chain product codes affected.
• Please See our Downloads ▼ section to refer to the Field Safety Notice and product listing for further information on the affected product codes.
• This notice does not relate to Catheter Mounts manufactured from corrugated tubing or from smooth bore tubing.

Next Steps:

• Users are requested to review the labelling example provided in Appendix 1, on page 3 of the notice, and ensure any affected devices are stored and used at temperature range 15˚C to 40°C.
• The updated labels have been in use since March 2020.
• Read and follow the full instructions in the Field Safety Notice and share this document with all users of the affected products.
• Complete and return the acknowledgement form on page 4 of the notice to quality@armstrongmedical.net.
