Delisting Unomedical (Convatec) Urology Bowel and Faecal Management Products Multiple Products (ICN 1669)

• The supplier Unomedical (Convatec)  has informed us the supply issue is ongoing.
• The supply issue is now anticipated to be resolved by 28 February 2023.

• 13 of the previously affected codes have now been delisted.
• 52 codes are available while stocks last (AWSL) and are expected to be delisted by 31 January 2023.

• Customers should be aware deliveries are still being received from Convatec for the 65 products being delisted as the supplier still has stock within their network.
• Convatec has ceased manufacture of these codes, so once all stock is exhausted and we cease to receive any further deliveries, the codes will become available while stocks last (AWSL).
• We are currently trying to establish how much stock Convatec has left and will update this ICN when we have further information.

• Indirect alternative product codes have been identified for the 65 affected delisted product codes.

Change:

• The supplier Unomedical (Convatec) has informed us of a discontinuation of a number of products across the Urology Framework.
• There are 65 product codes affected.
• The supplier is discontinuing these products due to a cease in production of these products from the company’s manufacturing facilities.

Impact:          

• The affected products are available while stocks last from 31 May 2022.
• Any customers purchasing Convatec products will be able to order them as long as stock is available. Demand management on these codes is still being explored to prevent earlier stock outs.
• Once the stock of a product has been run down the code will be delisted. We are having conversations with the suppliers to identify suitable alternatives and an update to this ICN will be provided once we have further information.
