Supply Issues GBUK Enteral Infant Feeding Multiple Products (ICN 1399)

Important Customer Notice Delisting

Ref: 2021/1399 ICN Number: 1399
  • NHS Supply Chain will be delisting the GBUK Enteral Teat Unit Prepared Feed products due to non-compliance with a new standard (BS EN 14350:2020).
  • There are four product codes affected.
  • The affected codes are currently suspended while the process of being delisted is completed.
  • Potential indirect alternative products are still available to order through our online catalogue –See our Downloads ▼ section.

  • The temporary suspension is still ongoing for four of the affected product codes while further investigations take place in relation to potential non-compliance:
    FAX037 – Infant Bottle Disposable Teat Newborn – Blue 3 speeds with integrated teat protector/graduated feeding cup – For babies between 3 & 6kg – Sterile
    FAX042 – Infant Bottle Disposable Teat Newborn – Red 1 speed with intergrated teat protector/gradulated feeding cup – For babies between 2.5 & 4kg – Sterile
    FAX044 – Infant Bottle Disposable Teat Premature – Pink 3 speed with integrated teat protector/graduated feeding cup – for babies between 2kg & 3.5kg – Sterile
    FAV017 – Infant Bottle Teat Latex Free Premature – Slow Flow (Purple) – ETO/ BPA / Phthalate / Volatiles Free.
  • Product codes FAX040 and FAX043 are now available to order through our online catalogue.
  • Potential indirect alternative products are still available to order through our online catalogue.
  • Customers are advised not to use these products until we have confirmation that they comply.
  • The anticipated resolution date is now anticipated to be 17 March 2022.

Change:

  • The supplier GBUK Enteral has yet to inform NHS Supply Chain of their compliance to a new standard (BS EN 14350:2020), leading to a temporary suspension whilst awaiting clarity.
  • There are six product codes affected.
  • This suspension is due to a potential non-compliance with the above standard.
