Change:
- Nationally Contracted Products (NCP) initiative is strategically co led by NHS Improvement and the Department of Health and is being operationalised through the NHS Supply Chain.
- Four of these NCP’s are renewal’s and two are brand new areas.
- The aim of the four NCP renewals was to aggregate national demand to provide a sustainable competitive price for the NHS.
- The two new NCP areas were chosen due to the savings potential and the ability to ensure resilience and continuity of supply.
Impact:
- There are six lots:
Lot 1 – Film Dressings (NCP Renewal)
Lot 2 – Film Island Dressings (NCP Renewal)
Lot 4 – Barrier Film (NCP Renewal)
Lot 5 – Barrier Cream (New NCP)
Lot 9 – Backed Super Absorbents (NCP Renewal)
Lot 10 – Non Backed Super Absorbents (New NCP). - The awarded suppliers are:
