Change:
- Nationally Contracted Products (NCP) initiative is strategically co led by NHS England and the Department of Health and is being operationalised through the NHS Supply Chain.
- The aim of this NCP is to mitigate recent cost pressures and to increase the number of products within the NCP Stationery range.
- This has been achieved by including additional paper products and remanufactured ink cartridges for the first time.
Impact:
- Banner, Lyreco UK, Thomas Stoner and Premier Paper have been awarded as the suppliers for the Desktop Stationery NCP.
- As of 1 August 2023, paper products and remanufactured cartridges that compete against those available on this NCP will be delisted from the online catalogue for a minimum period of 12 months.
- The NCP products will become available to order on 1 August 2023.
- There are potential national savings of £1 Million (13%) *.
