Product Update Cardinal Health Order Processing Freeze New Management System (ICN 2288)

Change:

• The supplier Cardinal Health has informed us of a planned upgrade of their management system. This new system will improve the delivery service to all customers.
• To facilitate the launch of the new platform, Cardinal Health will have a short freeze period on order processing in the month of 27 October 2023 until 3 November 2023.

Impact:

• If possible, please place orders prior to the below cut off dates.
• Please note only Blue Diamond and eDirect orders will be affected during this period and will have an extended lead time.
• All stocked items will still be available as normal.
• The deadline for order submissions should be made in the weeks prior to the 27 October 2023.

• Orders received during the freeze period, including orders made by Electronic Data interfaces, will be held for processing until 6 November 2023.
• Please note, any past open orders that have not been shipped by the 27 October 2023 will be transferred to Cardinal Health’s new system.
• NHS Supply Chain is working closely with Cardinal Health to minimise any disruption to the supply of products.
