Product Update Multiple Suppliers Needlefree Connector/Valve Products (ICN 2285)

Change:

• The Medicines and Healthcare Products Regulatory Agency (MHRA) has issued a new Device Safety Information (DSI) on their website linked to the Ethypharm Aurum Prefilled glass emergency medical syringes and Needle-Free Connector compatibility products.

Impact:

• The MHRA is recommending that only Needlefree Connectors/Valve that are stated as compatible are to be used with Ethypharm Aurum Prefilled glass emergency medical syringes.
• NHS Supply Chain is aware there are other products available in our Framework which are not included on the compatibility chart.
• We are working closely with all parties and will update the ICN as more information becomes available.
• Please note, that FSB1277 is currently suspended due to a supply issue and is expected to be available by 31 October 2023.
• There are no alternatives currently available.

• We will update this ICN and product listings when we have further information.
