- The supplier Smiths Medical International Ltd has informed us of a temporary supply issue with its Deltec Gripper Vascular Access Needle Product Range.
- There are 74 product codes affected.
- The supply issue is the result of a global resin shortage due to COVID-19. This is a component product in manufacturing and the supplier is therefore unable to meet demand.
Impact:
- The affected product codes are subject to intermittent supply from September 2021.
- Potential direct and indirect alternative products have been identified where possible and are available to order through our online catalogue.

- The supply issue is anticipated to be resolved for most of the products in November 2021. However, some affected products may be unavailable until early 2022.
