Supply Issues Smiths Medical International Ltd CADD Solis Administration Sets Multiple Products (ICN 1413)

• The supplier Smiths Medical International Ltd has informed us that the supply issue with its CADD Solis Administration Sets is still ongoing.
• All CADD products are still subject to intermittent supply.
• Only 12 codes are currently suspended. However, due stock availability, please note that suspension statuses may continue to change over the coming weeks.
• Please check the updated product list for the current list of suspended products.
• The anticipated resolution date is the end of October 2022.

• As the affected codes are subject to intermittent supply (changing daily), the red and green RAG has been removed.
• Codes suspended but available through the Suspended Consumables webpage will continue to be highlighted in amber.
• Should additional codes be suspended but available through the Suspended Consumables webpage via the Control Suspended Consumables Product Submission Webform, this ICN’s product listing will be updated.
• The anticipated resolution date is the end of July 2022.

Due to the disruption in supply, these products (and alternative products) are currently under demand management.

This issue has been escalated to be managed nationally by NHS England and Improvement and Department of Health and Social Care. Following further investigation and work with suppliers and clinicians, further information will be issued when available.

• The ongoing supply disruption is now affecting ALL CADD Solis Administration Set across the catalogue.  As such an additional 11 products are now affected taking the total number of products affected to 16.
• The updated product listing is in our Downloads ▼ section. The following RAG status has been applied to this product listing. This will be updated as stock positions change
  • Red – Product suspended and not available through NHS Supply Chain or directly from the supplier.
  • Amber – Product suspended but available via the ICU webform due to being demand managed.
  • Green – Product is currently available to order.
• As the disruption is affecting the whole range and as these are pump dedicated sets there are no alternatives currently available.
• The resolution date has been put back to end of July 2022 – we anticipate that supply will remain intermittent until end of July 2022.
• There is limited stock in the network which is being demand managed until we can secure more stock.

• FSB2563 is an indirect alternative to FSB2234 and NHS Supply Chain does have stock available of this alternative for trusts to order.
• The filling and attachment of both 50ml Cassettes are the same, however the only difference if using the non-flow stop version (FSB2563) in comparison to the flow stop version (FSB2234) is that there is no need to remove the blue clip.
