- The products will continue to be regionally managed to ensure continuity of supply for those customers that have made the switch from Luer to NRFit.
- Smiths Medical International Ltd will work with customers and NHS Supply Chain to make the switch to NRFit and have the relevant codes made available for this.

- The supplier Smiths Medical International Ltd has informed us that the supply issue with NRFit Regional Anaesthesia Products is still ongoing.
- There is a total of 15 product codes affected.
- One product code is suspended and unavailable to order:
- FTR3374 -NRFit Epidural Kit -Minipack system 1 16g x 80mm Tuohy needle including closed end catheter 3 eyes 10ml LORD 0.2um epidural filter with LockIt Plus fixation device.
- Four product codes are now delisted and unavailable to order:
- FYB1102 – NRFit Combined Epidural and Spinal Kits 18g Tuohy needle and 26g spinal needle (Pencil point) including epidural clear catheter closed end 3 eyes plastic LORD and 0.2um epidural filter
- FYB1103 – NRFit Combined Epidural and Spinal Kits 18g Tuohy needle and 27g spinal needle (Pencil point) including epidural clear catheter closed end 3 eyes plastic LORD and 0.2um epidural filter
- FYB1104 – NRFit Combined Epidural and Spinal Kits 16g Tuohy needle 26g and spinal needle (Lancet point) including epidural clear catheter closed end 3 eyes plastic LORD and 0.2um epidural filter
- FYB1105 – NRFit Combined Epidural and Spinal Kits 16g Tuohy needle and 26g spinal needle (Pencil point) including epidural clear catheter closed end 3 eyes plastic LORD and 0.2um epidural filter.
- There are currently potential indirect alternatives for three product codes;
- FTR3372 – NRFit Epidural Kit Minipack system 1 18g x 50mm Tuohy needle including closed end catheter 3 closer eyes 10ml LORD and 0.2um epidural filter
- FTR3374 – NRFit Epidural Kit Minipack system 1 16g x 80mm Tuohy needle including closed end catheter 3 eyes 10ml LORD 0.2um epidural filter with LockIt Plus fixation device
- FTR3377 – NRFit Epidural Kit Minipack system 1 16g x 110mm Tuohy needle including closed end catheter 3 eyes 10ml LORD and 0.2um epidural filter.
- The affected products are currently only available to be purchased by existing customers.

- The supplier Smiths Medical International Ltd has informed us of a temporary supply issue with its NRFit Regional Anaesthesia Products.
- There are 19 product codes affected.
- The supply issue is due to material shortages caused by the COVID-19 pandemic and global supply chain issues. Specifically, there is a shortage of the NRFit Flat Filter FSN496 which is included in the packs.

- The affected products are only available to be purchased by existing customers.
- New customers will not be able to access the products until the supply issue has been resolved.
