Supply Issue B Braun Medical Ltd Micron Filter FSB976 and FKA055 (ICN 1972)

• The supplier B Braun Medical Ltd has informed us that the supply issue with its Micron Filter products is still ongoing.
• A further product code, FKA755 is affected.
• There are three product codes affected in total.
• Due to this ongoing supply issue, two product codes are now being threshold managed and are subject to Protect Demand Management, FKA755 and FSB976.
• FKA755 and FSB976 are available to order through NHS Supply Chain. However, trusts are allocated a maximum daily quantity aka “threshold” to ensure fair supply of available stock across the NHS.

• The supply issue is anticipated to be resolved by 30 April 2023.

Change:

• The supplier B Braun Medical Ltd has informed us of a supply issue with its Micron Filter products.
• The two product codes affected are:
  • FSB976 – Administration sets for Infusomat Space volumetric pump
  • FKA055 – Administration sets for Infusomat Space volumetric pump.
• The supply issue is due to delays with manufacturing products arriving from their supplier which has reduced stock levels.
• Due to this ongoing supply issue this product is now being threshold managed as it is subject to Protect Demand Management.

Impact:          

• FSB976 and FKA055 is available to order through NHS Supply Chain. However, trusts are allocated a maximum daily quantity aka “threshold” to ensure fair supply of available stock across the NHS.
