• The supplier Smith and Nephew Healthcare Ltd has informed us that the supply issues with its Renasys Negative Pressure products is still ongoing.
• Two ranges are affected:
  • Gauze Kits
  • Drain Kits.
• Due to the specialised nature of these products, and the limited number of alternatives available, customers are asked to direct any concerns or questions to their local Smith and Nephew representative or clinical specialist for up-to-date information and other clinically relevant options.

• The supply issue is now anticipated to be resolved by 30 April 2023.

• The supplier Smith and Nephew Healthcare Ltd has informed us that the supply issues with its Renasys Negative Pressure products is still ongoing.
• Only two ranges have ongoing supply disruption.
• Gauze Kits and Drain Kits continue to experience supply issues with intermittent supply expected to continue through February 2023 with a full recovery March 2023.
• Smith and Nephew is aware of the supply challenges highlighted above and are working hard to resolve them. • The supply issue is now anticipated to be resolved by 28 February 2023.

• Smith and Nephew has informed us of an update to the supply issue with its Renasys Negative Pressure products and has advised us to highlight the changes below:
• High clinical demand products such as Foam Kits and Cannisters are returning to more normal levels and are in regular stock through your normal route within NHS Supply Chain. Whilst Smith and Nephew do not foresee any major supply issues on these ranges, you may still experience intermittent supply from time to time.
• Drain Kits, Y Connectors and Abdominal Kits are still experiencing regular intermittent supply issues. Smith and Nephew expects this to continue through October and November with a return to more normal supply patterns by 30 November 2022.
• Due to raw material constraints, Smith and Nephew Gauze Kits are expected to have serious supply issues through October and November with recovery expected to take place in December 2022 – many of the Gauze Kits will be unavailable to order during this period.
• Smith and Nephew is aware of the supply challenges highlighted above and are working hard to resolve them.
• Due to the specialised nature of the products in the Negative Pressure range and the limited number of alternatives available, customers are asked to direct any concerns or questions to their local Smith and Nephew representative or clinical specialist for up-to-date information and other clinically relevant options. • A further four product codes are now subject to intermittent supply:
  • ELZ1166 – Negative Pressure Wound Therapy Gauze Dressing Kit RENASYS high output fistula kit.
  • ELZ530 – Negative Pressure Wound Therapy Gauze Dressing Kit 10fr round drain kit.
  • ELZ545 – Negative Pressure Wound Therapy Gauze Dressing Kit Sterile medium with soft port for theatre use
  • ELZ968 – Negative Pressure Wound Therapy Gauze Dressing Kit Kit contents include x5 Kerlix AMD Antimicrobial gauze rolls (11.4cmx3.7m)x1 SECURA No-Sting Barrier film wipe SECURA No-Sting Barrier film wipe IFU Covidien Kerlix AMD Antimicrobial gauze IFU.
• There are currently a total of 13 product codes subject to intermittent supply issues.
• The supply issue is anticipated to be resolved by 31 December 2022.

• There are 14 affected codes, and they are subject to intermittent supply.

• One product code ELZ509 is being threshold managed and is subject to Protect Demand Management.
