  • Clinisupplies Ltd has informed us that they are no longer able to supply Medical Swabs prior to the new framework agreement going live in March 2022.
  • This has left a gap in supply which the two remaining framework suppliers (Unisurge International and 365 Healthcare) have been asked to fill in the interim until the new Framework Agreement goes live on 14 March 2022.

Impact:

  • As a result, some Medical Swab products will need to be demand managed. This is to protect stockholding and allocate volumes as determined by NHS England and NHS Improvement consumption model. It aims to ensure that trusts continue to have access to the consumables they need to provide patient care and to avoid unnecessary risks of stock shortages.
  • In all cases there are indirect alternatives that can be ordered (subject to availability) through our online catalogue.
