Supply Issues Fairmount Medical Products Limited Chip evacuators and Irrigation Sets (ICN 2132)

Change:

• The supplier Fairmont Medical Products Limited has informed us of a supply issue with its Chip Evacuators and Irrigation Set products.
• There are 10 product codes affected.
• The supply issue is due to increased demand and lead times.

Impact:          

• All the affected product codes are currently suspended.
• There are indirect alternatives for some products. However, some of these products may also be subject to intermittent supply.
• We are currently sourcing further alternatives and updates will be made to the product listing as soon as possible.
• Unfortunately, there are no alternatives available for six of the affected products. This is due to these products being listed as alternatives on the Baxter ICN 1869 and Coloplast ICN 1885.

• To mitigate the impact of disruption customers can review our alternatives where available.
• The supply issue is anticipated to be resolved by 26 May 2023.

• The continuing supply issue is being monitored in conjunction with the supplier and we will continue to monitor the stock situation to minimise further disruption and update this ICN with the latest information as it becomes available.
• However, as this is currently a disrupted market and the supply is subject to rapid change, we do have potential alternatives offered. But these may also be experiencing temporary supply issues and therefore, customers may need to consider clinically reviewing all additional alternatives provided.
