Supply Issues GBUK Healthcare Needlefree Extension Sets and Needlefree Connector/Valve FSW1640, FSW1638 and FSW1639 (ICN 2833)

• The supply issue with Needlefree Extension Sets and Needlefree Connector/Valve products from GBUK Healthcare is now resolved.
• FSW1640, FSW1638 and FSW1639 are now available to order through our online catalogue without restrictions.
• This ICN is now closed.

Change:

• The supplier GBUK Healthcare has informed us of a supply issue with its Needlefree Extension Sets and Needlefree Connector/Valve products.
• Three product codes are affected in total:
  • FSW1640 – Needlefree extension set
  • FSW1638 – Needlefree connector / valve
  • FSW1639 – Needlefree extension set.
• The supply issue is due to shipping delays.
• Due to this ongoing supply issue two products are now being threshold managed as they are subject to Protect Demand Management.

Impact:

• FSW1638 and FSW1639 are available to order through NHS Supply Chain. However, trusts are allocated a maximum daily quantity or “threshold” to ensure fair supply of available stock across the NHS.          
• FSW1640 is currently suspended and unavailable to order.
• Potential indirect alternative products are available to order through our online catalogue.

• The supply issue is anticipated to be resolved by 12 March 2025.
