Change:
- The supplier Medicina Limited has informed us of a supply issue with its Hypodermic and Insulin Syringes.
- There are 17 product codes affected.
- The supply issue is due to an administrative issue on the UKCA certification of the products.
Impact:
- Eight product codes are currently suspended and unavailable to order:
- FWC338, FWC345, FWC342, FWC339, FWC340, FWC352, FSW773 and FMK000.
- Four product codes are currently subject to intermittent supply:
- FWC343, FWC351, FWC344 and FWC409.
- Five product codes are subject to Protect Demand Management:
- FWC341, FWC348, FWC349, FWC346 and FWC347.
- These products are still available to order through NHS Supply Chain. However, trusts are allocated a maximum daily quantity or “threshold” to ensure fair supply of available stock across the NHS.
- Potential indirect alternative products are available to order through our online catalogue for most of the affected products. However, some of these products may also become subject to intermittent supply with the increase in demand.
