Change:

• The suppliers have informed us of supply issues with Procedure Packs across multiple suppliers.
• There are 15 product codes affected.
• The suppliers have agreed the best course of action now is for these codes to be suspended until their manufacturing levels increase to support the current stock requirements.

Impact:          

• 15 of the affected product codes are currently unavailable to order.
• Customers can expect to see current and future orders / lines cancelled due to insufficient stock.
• Potential indirect alternative products are available to order through our online catalogue.

• The supply issue is anticipated to be ongoing for a period of up to six months.
• We will update the ICN when we have further information.

Next Steps:              

• Customers are advised to log into our website to review the potential indirect alternative products provided on the ICN and place orders for these where possible and where suitable.
• When reviewing any alternatives customers should consider factors such as clinical compliance, compatibility and current costings.
• Customers are also advised to monitor their current stock levels and adjust their usage where possible, with the views to reduce the rate in which stock is depleted.
• NHS Supply Chain are engaging with Richardson Healthcare Ltd to mitigate suspensions where possible and identify a workstream to help increase production rates. The Category Team and Clinical Team are holding regular meetings with Unisurge to obtain updates where possible.
