Supply Issues PDI (EMEA) Limited Disinfectant Wipes VJT516 (ICN 2666)

Change:

• The supplier PDI (EMEA) Limited has informed us of a supply issue with its Disinfectant Wipe products.
• One product code is affected:
  • VJT516 – Wipe disinfectant moist 70% alcohol 2% chlorhexidine gluconate 25gsm 150mm x 129mm box of 100 individual sachets class ii medical device.
• The supply issue is due to supplier manufacturing issues, the production line is only able to produce half the volumes required.

Impact:

• Due to this ongoing supply issue this product is now being threshold managed as it is subject to Protect Demand Management.
• VJT516 is available to order through NHS Supply Chain. However, trusts are allocated a maximum daily quantity or “threshold” to ensure fair supply of available stock across the NHS.
• Potential indirect alternative products are available to order through our online catalogue:

  • VJT638 – Wipe disinfectant moist 70% alcohol 2% chlorhexidine gluconate.
