Supply Issues Verathon Medical Video Laryngoscope Products (ICN 2111)

Change:

• The supplier Verathon Medical has informed us of a supply issue with its Video Laryngoscope Products.
• There are 17 product codes affected.
• The supply issue is due to UK CA Mark requirements for medical device issues.

Impact:          

• Verathon is currently pursuing the MDR certification for their class I Single Use Sterile Medical Devices.
• As an interim solution, Verathon now offers non-sterile versions of Spectrum Single-Use Video Laryngoscopes, GVL Stats and GlideRite Single-Use Stylets to cover the supply of GlideScope single-use products.
• There are no impacts on compatibility with GlideScope Smart Cables, Video Batons or Video Monitors. The products contained within the packages are functionally equivalent to packaged-sterile devices.
• The non-sterile versions are listed as direct alternatives.
• Two of the affected product codes are available while stock lasts:
  • FDD5210 – Video Laryngoscope
  • FSM3715 – Video Laryngoscope.
• 15 product codes are currently suspended and unavailable to order.
