Supply Issues Vygon UK Limited Needle Free Connectors FSW131, FSW132 and FSW141 (ICN 2203)

Change:

• The supplier Vygon UK Limited has informed us of a supply issue with 3 of its Needle Free products.
• There are three product codes affected:
  • FSW131 – Needle free connector ​/​ valve
  • FSW132 – Needle free connector ​/​ valve
  • FSW141 – Needle free connector ​/​ valve.
• The supply issue is due to supplier manufacturing issues as the supplier is having intermittent delays in production.
• Due to this ongoing supply issue these products are now being threshold managed as it is subject to Protect Demand Management.

Impact:          

• FSW131, FSW132 and FSW141 are available to order through NHS Supply Chain. However, trusts are allocated a maximum daily quantity or “threshold” to ensure fair supply of available stock across the NHS.

• The supply issue is expected to be resolved by 31 August 2023.
• Six associated products could also become demand managed due to the impact of the three codes above – FSW164, FSW684, FSW311, FSW686, FSW280 and FSW323.
