• Product availability across the category has improved, however, the product category is still subject to intermittent supply issues.

• The supply issue on FSN326, FSN324 and FSN323 has added pressures to availability of alternative products.
• In total, there are now seven product codes impacted by the global shortage of resin which is used in the production of the needles.

• The supplier Teleflex Medical has informed us of a temporary supply issue with its EZ-IO Needles.
• The three product codes affected are:
  FSN326 – Intraosseous Needle   15G x 15mm Pink with stabilizer Dressing Extension Set Patient Wrist Band and Sharps Block
  FSN324 – Intraosseous Needle   15G x 25mm (1 inch) Blue with stabilizer Dressing Extension Set Patient Wrist Band and Sharps Block
  FSN323 – Intraosseous Needle   15G x 45mm Yellow with stabilizer Dressing Extension Set Patient Wrist Band and Sharps Block.
• The supply issue is due to a global shortage of Resin which is required for all size needles.

Impact:         

• The affected codes are subject to intermittent supply only.
• Potential indirect alternative products are available to order through our online catalogue.
• Please note that both indirect alternatives should be purchased to be a suitable alternative for the plus packs offered.
