NHS Supply Chain are recruiting for a Change Communications Associate to join our team.

 

Purpose of the role

 

What does a Change Communications Associate do at NHS Supply Chain?

 

The Change Communications Associate will report directly into the Change Communications Manager and will be responsible for supporting the delivery of best practice change communication strategies, plans and content across NHS Supply Chain.

 

This will include supporting the delivery of change projects and the new operating model. This role holder will be responsible for ensuring these changes are communicated successful, with all our people being fully informed and engaged. There is an appreciation from the business that communicating the changes effectively is integral to their success.

 

 

Responsibilities

 

Help deliver the NHS Supply Chain change communications strategy and engagement plan for the operating model transition, ensuring change is effectively realised across a broad range of internal and external stakeholder groups – working with the wider communications team.

Working closely with the Change Communications Manager to tailor messages according to progress in the plan and the change journey being experienced.

Creating high quality communications to help colleagues of all levels understand the change journey, benefits, the role they play and future ways of working.

Helping articulate a key narrative and strategic messaging, you will lead the creation of key communications and ensuring all communications are consistent and on message.

Responsible for the production of engaging and well written content in multiple formats, including audio, visual, and written communications. Incorporating storytelling, briefings and events that present a compelling, impactful and positive understanding of the link between the delivery of the organisational strategy and the role of the programmes to key target audiences.

Demonstrate effective and strategic networking skills to develop relationships with key stakeholders of all levels to listen and respond to feedback by implementing and owning two-way dialogue channels.

Owning the documenting and reporting of communications effectiveness.

You will build relationships with key business leaders to ensure they understand and are able to successfully communicate the operating model’s goals internally and externally.

Working in collaboration with internal and external stakeholders to design and/or develop effective communications channels and collateral.

 

 

 

What skills, qualifications and qualities do I need to be successful?

 

A proven track record of working in internal communications, delivering communications plans and measuring success

Managing communications in a complex organisation with many internal stakeholders

Experience of communicating organisational-wide change programmes

Experience of using Microsoft Word / Adobe products / PowerPoint

Ideally having skills to plan, record, and edit podcast and video content

Knowledge of using content management systems

A proven track record of devising and implementing systems for evaluating the effectiveness of communications

Outstanding interpersonal skills with ability to develop strong relationships with colleagues and external partners

Influencing and facilitation skills, highly organised, driving for simplicity and pragmatic outcomes

Excellent organisational skills and the ability to manage a busy workload, balancing competing priorities and deadlines
