NHS Supply Chain are recruiting for an Insights Analyst

 

Purpose of the role

 

The Insights Analyst will be responsible for providing the Care Pathway, Hospital Care, Out of Hospital Care and Voice of the Customer teams with historic trends and future forecasts to demonstrate the value delivered through NHS Supply Chain. 

Sourcing and utilising transactional data, tariff data and NHS registries whilst working with subject matter experts to interpret guidance from such as NICE and GIRFT to provide insights on value that can be delivered through NHS Supply Chain.

The role will need to build a compelling story through the use of data, being skilled in processing, analysis and visualisation of data.

 

Responsibilities

 

Baselining current activity and defining future opportunities and forecasts through varied data sources

Identify sources of new data and enable access

Lead engagement with internal / external stakeholders

Deliver Insights for the customer facing teams

Participate and lead networks within NHSSC to drive best practice use of data and tools

 

 

What skills, qualifications and qualities do I need to be successful?

 

Understanding of NHS data landscape (e.g tariffs, clinical coding, NHS statistics, HES data, Model Hospital, Spend Comparison Service II, Clinical pathways etc)

Demonstrable experience accessing big data sources, automating data operations, conducting data analytics and utilising visualisation tools (desirable tool usage is Cognos, SQL, Alteryx, Power BI)

Experience working with large, complex data sets and presenting clear actionable insights

Experience of managing relationships with key stakeholders

Strong and effective communication skills

Hybrid working; a blend of home and office working 2/3 days in the office and 2/3 days at home.
