Job Title: Supplier Relationship Management Lead
Function: Supplier Relationship Management/Commercial
Location: Any NHS Supply Chain location will be considered (Nottingham, Alfreton, Chester, Sheffield, and Leeds).
Type: Fixed Term Contract for 18 Months

Salary: £59,925 with potential to rise to £70,500 over 3 years

NHS Supply Chain are recruiting for a Supplier Relationship Management Lead to join the SRM team.
As SRM Lead you will lead a team of focused Supplier Managers responsible for the creation, ownership, and lead on joint business planning with their portfolio of Strategic, Preferred and Key suppliers via Relationship Management Plans (including supplier engagement strategies) ensuring adequate capability and capacity is available.
You will provide training and upskilling on SRM principles and practice to ensure a standardised approach is maintained across the team and the wider business.
Responsibilities
Take overall responsibility for designing, developing, and delivering the organization’s supplier management framework.
Develop tactical plans for optimizing resources and assets being managed within a given area or department.
Review existing operations in a major area of work and implement innovation processes to generate new ideas and ensure the required continuous improvement outcomes are delivered.
Communicate the actions needed to implement the function’s strategy and business plan within the team; explain the relationship to the broader organization’s mission, vision and values; motivate people to commit to these and to doing extraordinary things to achieve local business goals.
Manage and report on the performance of a substantial, diverse team; set appropriate performance objectives for direct reports or project / account team members and hold them accountable for achieving these; take appropriate corrective action where necessary to ensure the achievement of team / personal objectives.
Deliver a budget for an area of the organization or conduct complex analyses on budget progress in other areas of the organization.
Develop stakeholder engagement through identifying stakeholders, finding out their needs/issues/concerns and reacting to these to support the communication of business information and decisions.
Develop and implement stakeholder engagement plans for projects to identify relevant stakeholders, to develop positive stakeholder relationships, and to ensure that each stakeholder has an appropriate share of voice.
Work with category teams to implement standardised and structured engagement strategies for Transactional suppliers.
Continue to develop the toolkit and templates required to make a more efficient, standard and effective supplier management programme.
What skills, qualifications and qualities do I need to be successful?
Master’s Degree or Equivalent Level
Demonstrable experience in Supplier Relationship Management at a senior level.
Experience of planning, managing, and organising resources within short / medium timescales within the overall policy framework.
Project Management Uses comprehensive knowledge and skills to work independently while guiding and training others on managing projects and/or programs within desired cost, time and quality parameters.
Planning and Organising Uses expertise to act as organizational authority on planning, organising, prioritising, and overseeing activities to efficiently meet business objectives.
Procurement Process Management – Uses comprehensive knowledge and skills to act independently while guiding and training others on managing the entire procurement process from start to finish.

Hybrid working; a blend of home and office working 2/3 days in the office and 2/3 days at home.
