Category Tower 4 Transfers into the Management Function of NHS Supply Chain
On 1 November 2022, NHS Supply Chain: Orthopaedics, Trauma and Spine, and Ophthalmology (Category Tower 4) successfully transferred into the central NHS Supply Chain team. This transfer sees 53 colleagues transition from CPP to NHS Supply Chain.
The decision was taken to bring forward the transition of Category Tower 4 to help influence clinical switching decisions on the front line, provide greater alignment with care pathways and enable greater opportunities to deliver more value to the NHS.
This is another step achieved in our plan for implementing the next iteration of the NHS Supply Chain Target Operating Model (TOM).
The TOM is a critical enabler of our long-term vision and strategy to ensure that we align with the strategic priorities of the wider NHS so that we can bring greater value to the health and care system and make it easier for the NHS to put patients first.
Tower 4 has been a fundamental part of NHS Supply Chain’s success over the last five years and I would like to thank CPP and our teams for all their hard work to make this transition as seamless as possible.
