NHS Supply Chain Customer Loyalty scheme – August and September 2014

Tuesday 19 August 2014

We are pleased to announce a one-off rebate scheme for our top 100 trusts by transactional spend value, throughout August and September 2014. The rebate will be split on a weighted average basis of the Top 100 and paid in October 2014.

The Department of Health’s procurement strategy that was published August 2013 ‘Better Procurement, Better Value, Better Care’ encourages trusts to build stronger partnerships with their procurement partners, such as NHS Supply Chain. This initial rebate is a way of rewarding our largest customers by spend-value for their loyalty towards us.

NHS Supply Chain’s Master Services Agreement with the NHS Business Services Authority (NHSBSA) contains provisions for a profit cap, which if exceeded means investment directly back to the NHS. This year, for the first time, we are in an unprecedented situation of approaching that threshold, and have committed that every penny above that will go directly back to the NHS via this rebate. For further information, and where you are currently ranking, please speak to your NHS Supply Chain Account Manager.

We are also planning a formalised Customer Loyalty Scheme for 2015, based upon rewarding NHS trusts for behaviour relating to level of savings. Please email to give feedback on how you would see this scheme working, and what metrics you think should be taken into account.
