New Supporting Technology provider goes live

Wednesday 30 January 2019

On Friday 1 February 2019, the new NHS Supply Chain provider for Supporting Technologies and Infrastructure Services will officially be going live, marking a significant milestone in the transition of operational IT service delivery responsibility from DHL to DXC Technology.

This achievement is the culmination of six months’ hard work, since the Department of Health and Social Care Procurement Transformation Programme awarded the Supporting Technologies and Infrastructure Services contract.

The work has focused on the detailed planning and execution of a seamless transition that minimises change and risk impacts for NHS Supply Chain, its partners, suppliers and customers. As part of this transition, the majority of DHL staff supporting service delivery will be joining DXC and will continue to support NHS Supply Chain, thereby providing a continuity of service. As a result, you should expect to see 'business as usual' as this transition activity concludes.

Look out for future updates where we will share news of progress on our next stages of IT transformation activity.
