NHSBSA & NHS Supply Chain joint annual customer survey creates charity donation

Wednesday 25 May 2016

Each year NHS Business Services Authority (NHSBSA) and NHS Supply Chain conduct a joint annual Customer Satisfaction Survey, undertaken by an independent research company, DJS Research.

The survey, which is issued in November and runs for one month, has the anonymous results collated by the research company and provides essential insight into how our customers view the service they are receiving from the NHS Supply Chain. The feedback received helps direct the service objectives in order to drive customer satisfaction and deliver value for the contract across the NHS, in line with the £300m savings target by September 2018.

One outcome of this year’s survey was customers want to see an improved online customer experience. This has led to NHS Supply Chain being tasked with changing parts of the website and online catalogue search facilities to improve the navigation and easy of searching for customers, this is now an on-going project.

For the 2015/16 survey we informed customers that for each survey completed we would donate £1 to the Rainbows Hospice Children’s charity. The response we received was the highest we’d ever received, and as a result £1100 has been donated to the Hospice.

We would like to thank all customers who took part in the survey and assure them that their contribution does make a difference.

Gary Farnfield, East Leicestershire, Rutland and Lincolnshire Community Fundraiser for the Rainbows Hospice for Children and Young People said “A huge THANK YOU to you all for your amazing donation…….it will make a huge difference to all of the children, young people and their families at Rainbows”

The survey is now being formatted for 2016 and we hope to repeat the exercise when it goes out again in November.
