NHS Supply Chain launches new footwear products

NHS Supply Chain has launched a brand new healthcare footwear contract which will eliminate the time consuming process that NHS trusts and healthcare providers face when purchasing healthcare footwear products.

Commenting on the new contract, Chris Graham, Senior Buyer at NHS Supply Chain said: “Our aim is not only to provide costs savings, but support truer innovation and advances that can provide a multitude of benefits.

“This latest contract provision for healthcare footwear will enable NHS trusts and healthcare providers to purchase products direct from Tofeln and Green Square safe in the knowledge that they are purchasing the right products at the right price.

“This direct interaction with suppliers facilitates faster and more efficient ordering, representing an easier process all round. All products included in this contract also come complete with all the necessary quality assurances our customers have come to expect from us.”

Adds Chris: “Our offer truly encompasses the very best in terms of procurement, ordering and award-winning customer support.”

“We have nationwide teams and a dedicated contact for each customer to provide support during the entire supply process. We also ensure that our customers receive excellent levels of training and service in addition to the time and cost savings provided by working with NHS Supply Chain. Our electronic transaction capability incorporates e-ordering, online management tools and effortless e-billing, helping customers to further reduce purchasing costs.”

Concludes Chris: “The estimated spend on footwear within the NHS stands at circa £3 million. Our estimate is that this new footwear contract will enable 20% savings on previous pricing that could be obtained directly from the supplier by individual customers.”
