We are upgrading our eCommerce systems

Wednesday 8 October 2014

As part of our commitment to provide you with reliable and modern eCommerce applications, we will be upgrading our systems over the next few months. Some of these enhancements to our applications will require a change in our IP addressing (an IP address is essential for remote devices to communicate via the Internet) to the following applications:

  • Online Ordering
  • eDC
  • eBilling
  • HDS
  • TR reports

Actions we need you to take

If your IT department restricts access to remote sites, usually through the management of network access lists, it does mean that we must ask that you take action and speak to your IT department to ensure that from 17 October 2014 the following IP addresses are added to any network access list.

To maintain access to our eCommerce applications, please request that your IT department open both HTTP (80) and HTTPS (443) ports for TCP to all the following additional IP addresses:

a) For access to our eCommerce applications

  • 155.231.214.110
  • 155.231.214.101
  • 155.231.214.102
  • 155.231.214.103
  • 155.231.214.104
  • 155.231.214.106
  • 155.231.214.108
  • 155.231.214.112
  • 155.231.214.113
  • 155.231.214.71

If you receive electronic information to and from eDC or the NHS Supply Chain catalogue then the FTP (21) port also needs to be opened for to ensure that your local catalogues and non-stock orders can be transmitted and the following two additional IP addresses also need to be added:

  • 155.231.214.97
  • 155.231.214.98

If you have any questions about this modernisation work, please do not hesitate to contact our customer service helpdesk by email cshelpdesk@supplychain.nhs.uk.
