Clinical Alternative Products Support
Our Clinical Procurement Specialist Network (CPSN) Clinical Alternatives Products Support Call is now up and running. This group is a direct ask from the Resilience Working Group. It is a small, focused group of Clinical Procurement Specialists who meet on a weekly basis with our clinical teams. Each week they discuss potential alternatives and work around solutions for specific products where supply has been disrupted.
Group members include:
- CPSN specialists nominated by the clinical group
- NHS Supply Chain Category Towers
- NHS Supply Chain Clinical and Product Assurance (CaPA) team
- NHS Supply Chain Clinical Nurse Advisors.
The aim of this agile session is to provide key information around the issues which are having the biggest impact in a very quick timescale. The group also provides an opportunity to discuss potential workaround solutions to ensure continuity of care.
