This framework starts on 8 February 2021, runs for 48 months and ends on 7 February 2025. This includes a 12 month extension.

Overview

There are two lots on this framework:

  • Lot 1- Patient Feeding
  • Lot 2- Retail Feeding Solutions.

These products can be used in Staff and Visitor restaurants areas and are used by wards for patient feeding. View Product Categories to see a list of all product areas.

Features of the framework include:

  • An increased number of suppliers to provide a competitive framework – allowing competition between local, regional and national suppliers to deliver quality, choice and value.
  • We will hold mini-competitions with trusts’ requirements on a broadened product base, to get the best outcome in both price and quality.
  • We will utilise culinary, dietetic and market expertise and shared market insights to help trusts achieve savings available on this framework.

Supporting sustainability

  • One supplier on this framework is currently using fossil fuel plastic-free packaging
  • Two suppliers are working towards fossil fuel plastic-free packaging
  • Two are using 100% renewable energy
  • Two have a zero-to-landfill policy.

Please note: This is a direct framework agreement that works alongside the Government Buying Standards project, incorporating sustainable and ethical procurement.

The lots on this framework include the following product areas:
  • Lot 1 - Patient Feeding Sandwiches
  • Lot 2 - Retail Sandwiches, Hot and Cold Eats, Hospitality Platters, Prepared Salads, Sweet and Savoury Pastry and Snack Pots.
