Cleaning Supplies Equipment & Associated Products- Lots 5,6,7,9,10 and 11

The Cleaning Supplies Equipment and Associated Products tender has brought together a number of smaller frameworks (Previously - Personal Care and Patient Hygiene Accessories, Disposable Wipes Cleaning Cloths and Associated Products, Pharmacy Bulk (non-skin), Domestic and Higher Level Cleaning Chemicals), however due to the varying expiry dates of the original frameworks the launches have been staggered.

Lots beginning in February 2018 will be:

  • Lot 5 - Spill Kits
  • Lot 6 - Electrical Cleaning Equipment (new)
  • Lot 7 - Colour Coded Cloths
  • Lot 9 - Domestic Cleaning Chemicals
  • Lot 10 - Dosed Cleaning Chemicals
  • Lot 11 - Higher Level Disinfectants

Overview

There is an overall potential national annualised saving of £123,000 across these categories.

  • There is an increased number of suppliers across these categories and a wider choice of product ranges with approximately 170 new products being added including the introduction of new ranges such as Electrical Cleaning Equipment.
  • Electrical Cleaning Equipment will offer new and innovative products to the framework. The range will include battery as well as electrical operated machines, walk behind and ride on options, the products will include wet and dry vacuum cleaners, carpet cleaners, steam cleaners, scrubber driers, and rotary machines.
  • Cleaning Chemicals will also have the latest Material Safety Data Sheets (MSDS) added which the customer may choose to download. A MSDS is a document that contains information on the potential health effects of exposure to chemicals, or other potentially dangerous substances, and on safe working procedures when handling chemical products.
  • There will be some changes to unit of issue to be aware of; these effected codes are MFB739, MFD711, MFD715, MFD716, MFD717, MFD718, MFD721, MPA292, MLC357, MLC358, MLC359 and MLC360. Please refer to the product listing for more information on these changes.
  • McBride (Hospec brand) has been discontinued and direct alternatives will be available from Primeline, however there will be new NPC codes for these products.

There have been 74 NPC codes delisted across all these categories. Please see the discontinued lines list for further information.

  • It is important to note that some key Proctor and Gamble branded lines supplied by Nationwide will no longer be available on the new framework for Dosed Cleaning Chemicals. Alternatives for these lines are available.

    MFD641, MFB435, MPA291, MFB690, MFB437 will have direct alternatives available.
    MFD642, MFD634, MFB436, MFD708, MFD633 MFB648 will have indirect alternatives. It is recommended customers review these indirect alternatives as there may be other more appropriate alternative solutions.
