  • Nationally Contracted Products (NCP) initiative is strategically co led by NHS Improvement and the Department of Health and is being operationalised by the NHS Business Services Authority through NHS Supply Chain.
  • NCP is a procurement tool that aims to implement the Carter Report recommendations to harness the national buying power of the NHS, remove “unwarranted product variation” and improve efficiency. The initiative is focused on driving savings through reducing variety at a sub category level and channelling national commitment to this reduced product range.
  • The aims of the tender and eAuction was to aggregate national demand to deliver optimum efficiencies and a single national price to support the upfront national pricing strategy and provide savings to the NHS.


  • Attends Limited has been awarded as the supplier for the Small, Medium, Large, XL, 2XL, and 3XL Fixation Pants with legs. They have also been awarded as the supplier for the Small and 3XL Fixation Pants without legs.
  • Medi-Inn has been awarded as the supplier for the Small, Medium, Large, XL, 2XL, and 3XL Fixation Pants without legs.
  • Please note that Essity/SCA and Ontex remain as suppliers on this framework, however, they have not won a lot within this NCP. Essity/SCA supply Small and 3XL Fixation Pants, with and without legs. Ontex supply Small and 3XL Fixation pants, without legs.
  • As of 16 July 2018, the products of the unsuccessful supplier DryLock Technologies will be delisted from the online catalogue for a minimum period of 12 months.
  • The NCP product will become available to order on 16 July 2018.
  • There are potential national savings of £339,000 (14%).
