  • The supplier Medtronic Limited has provided an update to the temporary supply issue being faced across its tri-staple product range.
  • The two product lines FAL12929 (EGIA30AVM ) and FTX060 (SIG30AVM), are now available to order again.

Impact:

  • The potential indirect alternative products that were identified also remain available to order through the online catalogue.

Update:

  • The supplier Medtronic Limited has provided an update to the temporary supply issues being faced across its tri-staple product range.
  • Four of the six affected product lines are now available to order again these are; FTX071, FTX069, FTX059 and FAL12930.
  • Two product lines FAL12929 (MPC: EGIA30AVM) and FTX060 (MPC: SIG30AVM) continue to be affected by the supply issue.
  • The supply issue was caused by the increased pressure on the supplier during improvements being made to its manufacturing processes.

Impact:

  • FAL12929 (MPC: EGIA30AVM) and FTX060 (MPC: SIG30AVM) remain unavailable to order.
  • Potential indirect alternative products have been identified and are available to order through our online catalogue.
  • Please refer to the product listing below for further information on the affected product codes and the indirect alternative products.
  • We anticipated the supply issue to be resolved by 31 January 2019.

Update:

  • The supplier Medtronic Limited continues to experience temporary supply issues across its tri-staple product range.
  • Six product codes remain affected: FTX071, FTX069, FAL12930, FTX059, FAL12929, and FTX060.
  • The supply issue was caused by the increased pressure on the supplier during improvements being made to its manufacturing processes. Whilst some recovery is being seen we are still seeing intermittent supply.

Impact:

  • The six affected product codes are intermittently available to order.
  • Where the products become unavailable potential indirect alternative products are available to order through our online catalogue.
  • Please refer to the product listing below for further information on the affected product codes and the indirect alternative products.
  • The supply issue has lasted longer than anticipated but is expected to be resolved by the beginning of December 2018. Updates will be provided should this change.

Next Steps:

  • Customers are being advised to continue to order Medtronic Limited products as normal and refer to the potential indirect alternative products when the Medtronic Limited products become unavailable. The alternatives advised are from Medtronic and are compatible with the affected lines.
  • Medtronic Limited’s own product specialists are communicating with hospitals and clinicians who use the affected products to lend support and advise with the use of the alternative options.

  • The supplier Medtronic Limited has informed us of a temporary supply issue across its tri-staple product range.
  • There are six product codes affected: FTX071, FTX069, FAL12930, FTX059, FAL12929, and FTX060.
  • The supply issue has been caused due to the increased pressure on the supplier during improvements being made to its manufacturing processes.

Impact:

  • The six affected product codes are available whilst stocks last and stocks will deplete over the next few weeks.
  • Potential indirect alternative products are available to order through the online catalogue. Customers are advised that they will need to order two indirect alternative products and combine them, in order to replace any of the six affected product codes.
  • Please refer to the product listing below for further information on the affected product codes and indirect alternative products.
  • The supply issue is anticipated to be resolved within the next six to eight weeks and updates will be provided should this change.

  • Customers are being advised to continue to order Medtronic Limited products as normal and refer to the potential indirect alternative products when the Medtronic Limited products become unavailable.
  • Medtronic’s own product specialists are communicating with hospitals and clinicians who use the affected products to lend support with the use of the alternative options and advise them appropriately.
