597 Licensed Medicinal Products (LMP) Validation Checks

Background:

As part of EU regulations for the distribution of medicinal products for human use (2001/83/EC) placed on NHS Supply Chain as a distributor of Medicinal Products we are required to undertake customer validation checks, and as such we reserve the right to restrict supply of Licensed Medicinal Products to validated customers only.

Exercise:

We have identified those customers who have purchased Licensed Medical Products during the last 12 months and will be issuing a written request for those customers to provide evidence to support their eligibility to receive these products. Acceptable evidence of eligibility includes one of the following:

  • A copy of your MHRA Distributor or Manufacturers License (if applicable)
  • A headed letter containing the following - GMC/GDC/GPhC Registration number, Forename(s) and Surname.

Timeframe:

A letter will be issued to customers during February 2019; customers will have three months to provide acceptable evidence to ensure their access to Licensed Medicinal Products is not restricted.
