This is a programme that NHS England and NHS Improvement have commissioned the AHSN to develop and deliver for England.

There are 15 Academic Health Science Networks (AHSNs) in the country, operating as the ‘key innovation arm’ of the NHS.

The purpose of the NWCSP is to scope the development of a wound care national strategy for England that focuses on improving care relating to:

  • Lower limb ulcers
  • Pressure ulcers
  • Surgical wounds.

See our Useful Links đź”— section for more details, including future NWCSP events from the AHSN, ways to get involved via the Stakeholder Forums and an article in Nursing Times by Dr Una Adderley, Director of the National Wound Care Strategy Programme.
