National Wound Care Strategy Programme

National Wound Care Strategy Programme

The NHS Supply Chain Clinical and Product Assurance (CaPA) team are supporting the work of the National Wound Care Strategy Programme (NWCSP); a programme which NHS England and NHS Improvement have commissioned the AHSN Network to develop and deliver for England.

The purpose of the NWCSP is to scope the development of a wound care national strategy for England that focuses on improving care relating to:

  • Pressure ulcers
  • Lower limb ulcers
  • Surgical wounds.

See our Useful Links 🔗 section for more details, including future NWCSP events from the AHSN network, ways to get involved via the Stakeholder Forums and an article in Nursing Times by Dr Una Adderley, Director of the National Wound Care Strategy Programme, published May 2019.
