National Wound Care Strategy Programme

The NHS Supply Chain Clinical and Product Assurance (CaPA) team are supporting the work of the National Wound Care Strategy Programme (NWCSP).

This is a programme that NHS England and NHS Improvement have commissioned the AHSN to develop and deliver for England.

There are 15 Academic Health Science Networks (AHSNs) in the country, operating as the ‘key innovation arm’ of the NHS.

The purpose of the NWCSP is to scope the development of a national strategy for England with a focus on improving care relating to lower limb ulcers, pressure ulcers and surgical wounds.
