• EOSedge – takes less than 20 seconds to acquire full body images of an adult patient and 15 seconds for a child. The low dose full body images allow for global assessment of the patients’ skeletal system, to better understand the patients’ joint conditions, posture and compensatory mechanisms between the spine, pelvis, and lower limbs in a functional position.
• 3D Modelling – frontal and lateral images are captured simultaneously in a spatially calibrated environment, allowing for 3D modelling of the spine and lower limbs to be generated. EOS 3D reports provide more than 100 3D parameters for use at all stages of patient care.
• Slot Scan Technology – EOSedge is a biplanar, stereo radiographic system that allows for simultaneous frontal and lateral x-ray images to be captured by vertically slot scanning the whole body (or specific region), in an upright, physiological weight bearing position.
• Photon-Counting Detector – an innovation that is advancing dose reduction capabilities due to its ability to reject noise more easily.
• Micro Dose – ultra low dose feature that is indicated for assessing global skeletal deformities and allows for the monitoring of disease progression, particularly for pathologies which require frequent monitoring such as scoliosis in paediatric patients.
